We will reduce our carbon footprint in any way we can
We don’t just protect your property, we are focused on protecting the planet
Sustainability
We don’t just protect your homes, businesses and communities, we are doing all we can to protect the planet. Sustainability has become increasingly important to us and is at the heart of our operations. For example:
We reduced the working week from 5 to 4 days; beneficial not just for the company’s carbon emissions but also for the wellbeing of the workforce. It’s also reduced the miles commuted by our team by nearly 2,000 per annum. And there has been a noticeable reduction in our energy usage on-site.
We use high frequency fluorescent tubes which reduces our energy consumption significantly. We will be moving to low-wattage LED fittings which will drop our lighting consumption by a further 50%.
We are committed to achieving net zero by 2030
A specialist energy consultancy firm has helped us to collect and collate our carbon emissions data which we will use, along with our ISO 14001 accreditation, to perform yearly audits and reviews to ensure we stick to our target of net zero by 2030.
We try to source the vast majority of the materials used to manufacture our aluminium flood barriers in the UK, with the majority of the supply chain within 100 miles of the factory. As much as 75% of this aluminium is recycled.
To further reduce our on-site emissions, we will be replacing the gas heating in the workshop, changing the company van to an electric vehicle and installing a solar array within the next five years. We will reduce our carbon footprint in any way we can and we will adopt new carbon-saving methods as and when they become available.
From our facilities in the Midlands we prototype, test, manufacture and quality control your flood defence system. With respect of your property our team will ensure your flood barrier or flood gate are installed with attention to detail. They will take the time to take you through the installation process, so you can defend your property from flood in minutes. And, with a little on-going care and attention to check and replace fixtures and fittings, your product could last you a life-time. We are with you every step of the way.
